Daniel Kasprzyk

Daniel Kasprzyk is vice president and director of statistics in Mathematica's Surveys and Information Services Division.
Kasprzyk is a nationally recognized expert in the statistics field, with extensive experience managing major national surveys. His expertise in statistics and survey methodology has helped him direct many statistical analyses for public and private agencies. He oversees the National Household Education Survey Quality Profile for the National Center for Education Statistics. He has also worked on many studies for the U.S. Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service. As an area leader, Kasprzyk works extensively with for-profit clients and on energy and tax policies.
Kasprzyk has testified before Congress and published in many peer-reviewed journals. Before joining Mathematica in 2001, he had a long career in federal service, including stints with the National Center for Education Statistics, U.S. Bureau of the Census, and Social Security Administration. He was elected to the American Statistical Association’s (ASA) board of directors as a vice president and is also an elected fellow of the ASA. He is a member of the International Association of Survey Statisticians, the American Association of Public Opinion Research, and former president of the Washington Statistical Society. He serves on the National Research Council's Committee on National Statistics Panel to Review the National Children's Study Research Plan and on the Institute of Medicine’s Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Health Issues and Research Gaps and Opportunities. He has a Ph.D. in mathematical statistics from George Washington University.
