Caitlin Blocker is a public affairs specialist at Mathematica. As part of the Communications team, she ensures that relevant and timely evidence reaches policymakers in federal, state, and local governments. Drawing on her experience as a congressional staffer, Blocker writes a weekly newsletter to inform Mathematica staff of legislative and regulatory developments that could affect the company’s mission to improve public well-being. She also provides editorial and marketing support for the creation of issue briefs, newsletters, and web pages, and logistical support for events. In addition, she coordinates and attends policymaker meetings with Mathematica staff to share recent evidence that impacts legislative endeavors.
Blocker joined Mathematica in spring 2020 following her role as a marketing coordinator at Fireside, a technology company that provides services to members of Congress and their staff. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in business administration from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
