Mynti Hossain is a health researcher with expertise in qualitative research methods, including developing protocols, leading interviews and focus groups, coding and analyzing data, writing reports, and conducting client briefings to improve program performance and inform public policy. Her research focuses on health information technology implementation, health care system redesign, and maternal-child health home visiting programs.
Currently, Hossain serves on the team evaluating the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation’s Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) initiative, a large-scale, multipayer initiative to transform primary care delivery. Hossain’s role is to evaluate health information technology vendor participation in CPC+. In addition, she recently led the implementation evaluations of two programs funded by the second round of the Health Care Innovation Awards, which aimed to improve care, improve health, and lower costs for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
Hossain joined Mathematica in 2011 and has published in journals, including Medical Care, Generating Evidence & Methods to Improve Patient Outcomes, Academic Pediatrics, and The American Journal of Managed Care. She holds an M.P.P. from the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
