Knowledge Sharing Is a Mission Imperative
The Funder & Evaluator Affinity Network (FEAN) is a national network of philanthropy and philanthropic evaluation professionals dedicated to transforming how funders and evaluators collaborate. In fall 2019, five action teams made up of FEAN members met to develop actionable recommendations or tools in five practice areas: strategy and practice, evaluators of color, knowledge sharing, global challenges, and collaboration and partnership. The practice areas were collaboratively selected by FEAN members as the ones most urgently in need of change.
Mathematica staff served on FEAN’s knowledge sharing action team, which developed this call-to-action discussion guide to help funders and evaluators anticipate and overcome common barriers to knowledge sharing on evaluations, particularly as they relate to sharing evaluation lessons with the nonprofits and communities they serve.
