The Short-Term Impact of Upward Bound: An Interim Report

Reports findings from the Longitudinal Effectiveness Study of Upward Bound, a federal precollege program designed to help economically disadvantaged students complete high school and gain access to postsecondary education. This report describes the impact of Upward Bound (UB) on students' education-related outcomes and course-taking during the first year or two of high school, as well as students' persistence in the UB program.
