James Haven has expertise in health care data analytics and value-based care models.
Haven came to Mathematica from the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, where he served as the associate director for performance analytics. Haven oversaw data strategy and analytics for a Medicare accountable care organization and a Medicaid Health Home that oversees the performance outcomes of 37 care management agencies. His work focused on applied data analytics on the Medicare population to estimate key quality and cost metrics, including research on bundled payment initiatives. Through his work in data operations and reporting, he routinely engaged key internal and external stakeholders, including clinical leadership, IT leadership, and public health agencies.
Haven holds a Ph.D. in biology from the City University of New York.
