Workshop on Evaluation in Mexico City

2016-2016
Prepared For

Conferencia Interamericana de Seguridad Social

In 2017, Mathematica offered a two-day training on impact evaluations of social programs for 50 government officials in Mexico City.

The main objective was to the build capacity of government officials to conduct impact evaluations that generate evidence for policymakers. The training was offered under the Incubator for Impact Evaluations, an initiative led by the National Evaluation Council in Mexico. The training included the following topics: quasi-experimental designs, basic elements of sampling, statistical power, and implementation of impact evaluations. We also offered interactive sessions to reinforce learning through practical exercises. Mathematica conducted a similar course in 2016.
