This report presents the first rigorous evaluation focused specifically on KIPP Atlanta Schools. Using school-level impact analyses and student-level descriptive data, the study examines the effects of KIPP Atlanta middle schools on academic achievement and explores postsecondary outcomes for KIPP alumni, including college enrollment, persistence, credential completion, and workforce participation. Findings show that KIPP Atlanta middle schools substantially improve student proficiency on Georgia statewide assessments, with impacts generally increasing across grade levels. The evaluation also finds that KIPP Atlanta Collegiate High School is associated with higher rates of initial college enrollment and positive impacts on long-term college persistence, although no detectable effects on overall credential completion were observed during the study period. The report discusses study limitations and identifies opportunities for future research to better understand the factors that support long-term student success.
