The Early Care and Education Leadership Study (ExCELS) featured a descriptive study that served as the basis for developing a new measure of leadership in center-based early care and education (ECE) settings. This guide provides instructions for administering the surveys to ECE center staff, scoring the measure, and using the measure scoring template (available in the final section of the guide).
