Objective

To understand current Hendricks Health’s CMS Star Ratings performance, prioritize areas for improvement, and forecast future performance.

Project Motivation

Mathematica has the experienced staff, robust data infrastructure, and methodological expertise needed to help Hendricks Health analyze the hospital system’s CMS Star Rating performance and identify ways to improve the quality of care.

Prepared For

Hendricks Regional Health

Mathematica identified key drivers for quality improvement and charted a way forward in alignment with Hendricks’ strategic priorities. 

Mathematica:

  • Analyzed the Star Rating component measures using QualityNet national and hospital-specific data as well as public available SAS packages. 
  • Recommended, based on an analytic model, performance improvement priorities for Hendricks.
  • Presented these recommendations to Hendricks with a slide deck presentation.
