Employer engagement and job development were key activities of three programs participating in the Next Generation of Enhanced Employment Strategies (NextGen) Project to help program participants with complex challenges find and keep jobs. Through an in-depth analysis of these program activities, this report finds that employer engagement and job development can be mutually beneficial for programs, participants, and employers. This report also identifies specific strategies and lessons for this work. The strategies and lessons summarized in this brief may help other employment programs serving similar populations.
