In summer 2010, state and local Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and workforce agencies partnered to plan and administer summer youth employment initiatives. This study examines qualitative data collected in 10 local sites across seven states to describe these partnerships, particular aspects of the TANF-funded youth employment initiatives, and summer work experiences.
