This recorded conference presentation, Responsive Relationships in the ECE Workforce: Improving Knowledge and Care for Young Children, is from the Society for Research in Child Development 2021 Biennial Meeting (SRCD 2021). Beginning at about 40:01 minutes into the session, Shannon Monahan shares updates from the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE)-sponsored We Grow Together professional development system field test. The We Grow Together field test was carried out from fall 2018-spring 2019. Monahan shares findings from the field test that focus on the relationship between infant/toddler caregivers and their coach. Additional presentations in this session, not funded by OPRE, include a presentation about the VLM Momentum project from Sarah Lang (Ohio State) and a presentation on the Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND) approach by Juliet Taylor (University of Washington). Taken together, these projects illustrate how web-based professional development approaches aim to target coach-caregiver interactions to improve caregiver-child interactions.
