Title X Family Planning Annual Report 2.0: Data Collection, Reporting, and Technical Assistance

Supported services include individualized counseling, pregnancy testing, provision of methods and services to help couples achieve their desired family size, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing, and screening for breast and cervical cancer. The program prioritizes services for low-income families who might otherwise lack access to family planning assistance.   

Mathematica is working with OPA to design, deploy and support the Family Planning Annual Report (FPAR) 2.0 system.  Under FPAR 2.0 grantees will report to OPA based on the individual encounters between a client and a Title X provider, rather than aggregate counts of clients and services as currently the case. This will enable OPA to more closely monitor grantees’ performance, service provision, and compliance with legislative mandates. Mathematica will provide training and technical support to Title X grantees and their electronic health record provides We will also present OPA with options for advanced data analysis, visualization, and reporting. FPAR 2.0 will reduce administrative burden on OPA and the Title X grantees by automating procedures currently done manually, such as tabulating and checking basic counts of clients served and types of services provided. Ultimately, FPAR 2.0 will promote data-informed improvements in programs and services and support public health surveillance.
