As schools and states seek to modernize traditional math pathways and expand offerings such as data science and statistics, curriculum developers and researchers need valid and reliable measures to assess how these innovations affect teaching and learning. This guide provides a curated set of measures for evaluating student learning and achievement; student motivation, engagement, and persistence; teacher perceptions; and curriculum implementation. The measures in this guide can be used for curriculum design, implementation pilots, and efficacy studies.  The guide also highlights emerging measures related to data science and data literacy that require further validation, along with gaps in the current measurement landscape.
