This brief presents seven evidence-informed factors that promote family engagement in home visiting across all stages of interaction with families. The brief also provides examples of practices that can promote engagement, accounting for circumstances within and outside the home visiting program that can affect families’ awareness of these services and their decisions to enroll and actively participate. Home visiting program administrators and staff can use the factors and examples in this brief to inform their program planning and implementation.
