Alexander Bohn specializes in managing projects and implementing hospital and skilled nursing facility quality and payment programs.

Since joining Mathematica in 2014, Bohn has supported projects focused on payment reform, health information technology, Medicare, delivery system reform, and quality improvement. He has extensive experience managing projects for multiple clients, consistently participating in risk management, strategic planning, and quality assurance to create research teams, work plans, and budgets that maintain fiscal responsibility and secure quality, timely deliverables. Currently, Bohn is the deputy project director for an effort providing flexible analytic and technical assistance support to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in its efforts to advance informed decision making on an increasingly complex and diverse set of policy issues.

Bohn also has experience implementing hospital and skilled nursing facility quality and payment programs, including producing hospital- and facility-level reports, facilitating rulemaking activities, developing stakeholder education and outreach materials, publicly reporting program results, and managing help desks to respond to stakeholder inquiries. Currently, Bohn is a program lead supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services with implementing the Skilled Nursing Facility Value-Based Purchasing Program. In addition, Bohn’s previous efforts contributed to quality measure development and maintenance, qualitative data collection and analysis, and survey data collection and analysis.

Bohn, a certified Project Management Professional, holds a B.A. in political science from Wake Forest University.
