Janine Bologna is a managing consultant and a certified Project Management Professional with more than eight years of experience in operations and management. She has provided technical assistance to support program evaluation and improvement for the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Since joining Mathematica in 2017, Bologna has worked on a range of projects related to employment and health care. Currently, she leads grant management and monitoring efforts on the Rehabilitation Services Administration’s Federal Fiscal Year 2023 Disability Innovation Fund National Evaluation. She also works on enhancement and documentation tasks on SSA’s Disability Analysis File, which aggregates administrative data across multiple sources into a research-ready file.

Bologna has overseen state grantees and supported evaluation technical assistance through SSA’s Retaining Employment and Talent After Injury/Illness Network Evaluation. On CMS’s Value-Based Care Learning System project, she monitored entities’ adherence to performance measures and addressed performance risks through affinity group webinars. As the indirect outreach lead on SSA’s Promoting Opportunity Demonstration, Bologna led and managed a high-impact toll-free phone line as part of a large-scale indirect outreach effort. Bologna has also managed projects through SSA’s Disability Research Consortium and Retirement and Disability Consortium, as well as through the Employment Policy and Measurement Rehabilitation and Research Training Center funded by the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research.

Bologna holds an M.S.W. from Washington University in St. Louis.
