Rachel Aucott collaborates with clients to develop and implement evidence-based strategies to improve programs and promote equitable outcomes.

At Mathematica, Aucott works with a variety of programs at the federal, state, county, and community levels. She serves as the deputy director of a Kresge Foundation project supporting early childhood educators in Detroit, Michigan, and task lead for data analysis on a systems change evaluation with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. She also serves as a technical assistance coach for 10 program sites within six federally or county-funded projects across the country, partnering with human service providers to use research and analytic methods to inform decision making and improve program quality.

Aucott joined Mathematica in 2021 with more than a decade of experience in a variety of leadership roles in the nonprofit sector, including strategic planning, program evaluation, organizational learning and change management, fund raising, and business development. She has dedicated her career to facilitating access to opportunity for all families. In her work, Aucott engages with program staff and participants in a spirit of respect and humility and uses human-centered design practices to elevate participant and staff experience and expertise to the forefront of program improvement efforts. She holds an M.P.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and is certified in human-centered design.
