Susan Ness is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council and a distinguished fellow at the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. She founded Susan Ness Strategies, a tech- and media-policy consulting firm. Ness currently is an independent expert and board alternate of the Global Network Initiative and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Coalition for Digital Safety. Previously, she served on the board of Vital Voices Global Partnership and on the board of three publicly traded companies in the media and telecom sectors. She was a member of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission and a vice chair of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Ness earned a JD from Boston College Law School and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
