Alli Steiner specializes in evaluation and technical assistance for federal and local health programs. She works with state Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) agencies and the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services to support quality measurement efforts.

Since joining Mathematica in 2015, Steiner has worked on a variety of technical assistance and evaluation contracts, including with the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and for Boston Children’s Hospital’s Office for Community Health. Currently, Steiner leads technical assistance efforts supporting state Medicaid and CHIP agencies in calculating and reporting quality measures for the Core Set program. On evaluation contracts, Steiner is a mixed-methods researcher focusing on qualitative methods while also integrating quantitative analysis of administrative and survey data.

Before joining Mathematica, Steiner served as an AmeriCorps volunteer at a primary health clinic in Savannah, Georgia. She also interned at the New Mexico Department of Health. Steiner holds an M.P.H. from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health.
