Amina Tipu is a project manager with expertise focused on leading information technology projects and operations. She thrives managing large cross functional teams and has experience in data management, data acquisition, and process improvement. Tipu joined Mathematica in 2023 as a Project Manager and Advisory Services Analyst in the State and Local Government division.
Since joining Mathematica, Tipu has worked on many projects in the state of California for DHCS and CDA, Illinois for HFS, and as the IT Project Manager for internal initiatives with our partners Socially Determined. Additionally, she serves as a Project Management mentor for Tech/Analytics projects in the State and Local government division and within the State Health Communities she is the acting Community of Practice support lead for Data and Analytics.
Previously, Tipu was a Management Engineer at Montefiore Medical Center as a part of the broader Montefiore Health System where she developed user friendly dashboards to track patient engagement and led performance improvement projects. Tipu holds certifications as a Certified Scrum Master and as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Tipu holds a BA in Psychology and MS in Systems Science with a concentration in Health Systems from Binghamton University.
This project supports the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) with data analysis, subject matter expertise, and technical assistance to support the state’s compliance with two Olmstead-related consent decrees.
