Davis also served as director of community-based research and research assistant professor of medicine at UChicago Medicine, where she led work in community-centered public health and health equity.
Davis earned a Ph.D. in medical psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Her board and professional committee service include work with the National Academy of Medicine, the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, and the Maryland Food Bank Board of Directors. Her deep and unwavering dedication to community health improvement and social justice continues to drive her longstanding professional commitment to advancing the fields of health and diversity, equity and inclusion.
Centering equity is about taking actions to help bend the decision making arc of policymakers and other leaders toward equity and justice through evidence and in partnership with others. Our ability to embrace change, find comfort with ambiguity, and identify our vulnerabilities will determine our future progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion and the magnitude of its influence.
