Sera Gearhart

Sera Gearhart focuses on data quality and quality measurement in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program and within the context of health information technology. She has worked as an analyst on projects to develop electronic clinical quality measures for eligible clinicians and hospitals, in which she coordinated activities throughout the life cycle of measure development. As an analyst for the Medicaid and CHIP Business Information Solution Data Analytics and Data Quality project, Gearhart works closely with states to identify and mitigate critical data quality issues. She is passionate about improving data quality for better decision making and exploring health information technology through the lens of medical anthropology.

Gearhart holds a B.A. in public policy with a specialization in health from the University of Redlands.
