Sule Gerovich’s research focuses on critical issues in health care, including health care payment policy, alternative payment models, global budgets, all-payer models, and quality and performance measurement.
Gerovich currently leads a project to support Vermont in implementing the All-Payer Accountable Care Organization model. She also provides quality assurance oversight and methods review for a project to test bundled payments for care improvement models for hospitals, post-acute care providers, and physician groups. Working on a project for the Massachusetts Center for Health Information and Analysis, she developed a methodology for measuring efficiency at outpatient hospital departments using the state’s all-payer claims database.
Before joining Mathematica in 2017, Gerovich served on the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission and the Maryland Health Care Commission. She was a member of Milbank State Reform Emerging Leaders program while working for the state of Maryland. She worked as a registered nurse at the Institution of Social Security Hospital in Ankara, Turkey. Gerovich has a Ph.D. in public health from Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University and a master of public policy degree from the same university.
