The Effects of a Primary Care Transformation Initiative on Primary Care Physician Burnout and Workplace Experience
This Journal of General Internal Medicine article summarizes results from a prospective cohort study of how the Comprehensive Primary Care initiative, a multipayer primary care transformation initiative (October 2012 to December 2016), affected primary care physician experience. The main measures were burnout, control over work, job satisfaction, and the likelihood that physicians would leave their current practice within two years.
