This report focuses on the evaluation of WtM activities and in particular, the data being used for the WtM evaluation. The evaluation of the WtM activities uses a “phase-in” random assignment design, whereby villages were randomly assigned into a treatment group, whose farmers will be offered training, and a control group, whose farmers will not be offered training during the evaluation follow-up period. The impacts of the training components will be determined by comparing outcomes of the treatment group with outcomes of the control group over time. In particular, we will examine whether the program: (1) affected irrigation and agricultural practices of Armenian farmers; (2) led to improvements in agricultural productivity; and (3) improved household well-being for the targeted farmers, as defined by increased income and reduced poverty.
