Colleen Psomas joined Mathematica in 2022 as a senior communications specialist. Today, she supports outreach and dissemination efforts and helps to elevate thought leadership related to Mathematica’s work in the areas of early childhood, nutrition, and state and local human services. She also leads communications efforts to support Mathematica’s growing climate change practice.

Psomas collaborates with research teams throughout Mathematica to develop and implement strategic communications plans to help ensure their work gets into the right hands to make progress. She is a creative storyteller and is skilled at distilling complex subject matter and research findings into useful, accessible messaging. She regularly coordinates with Mathematica’s team of writers, editors, designers, and others to develop engaging and informative materials for diverse audiences to further amplify research findings.

Before joining Mathematica, Psomas served as director of communications for Meals on Wheels America, where she led the organization’s research, advocacy, and health care communications. Her work at Meals on Wheels was driven by a passion for promoting food security and providing social connection for older adults. She has carried these interests into her role at Mathematica, where she seeks to improve public well-being with compelling evidence and insights. Psomas holds a master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications with a social impact focus from Georgetown University, as well as a B.B.A. in marketing and international business from the George Washington University.
