David Roberts
Director of Strategic Communications
David Roberts works to raise awareness of Mathematica’s experts, research, and thought leadership to a range of audiences including reporters, practitioners, philanthropic and advocacy groups, and policy makers at all levels.
Since joining Mathematica in 2017, Roberts has helped raise the profile of Mathematica’s work through placements in media outlets including the New York Times and NBC News and elevated public discussion of the importance of evidence-based policy through Mathematica’s digital communications platforms.
Roberts has more than 15 years of experience working at the intersection of public communications and public policy and was most recently the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor. He holds a B.S. in political science from American University.
