About Tobi
Tobi Yanez Tandeciarz focuses on using data science to analyze health care and climate change policy.
Since joining Mathematica in 2020, Yanez Tandeciarz has worked on a range of projects in the health and environmental spaces. He served as a programmer on the ClimaWATCH project and used his skills in R to create visualizations of the incidence of extreme climate events and climate-related health issues. He also helped create a matching algorithm to compare heatwave and non-heatwave periods.
Before joining Mathematica in 2020, Yanez Tandeciarz worked in environmental science research, studying microplastic pollution and biogeochemical cycling. He has a B.S. in statistics and environmental science from the University of Virginia.
