William Garrett

Since 2008, William (Bill) Garrett has managed Mathematica’s standards and processes to ensure its products are accessible to the 61 million adults in the United States and more than 1 billion people worldwide living with a disability. He coordinates a team that helps ensure all people can access findings, reports, webinars, websites, and other content produced by Mathematica.

Garrett monitors emerging standards and tools for accessibility, stays up to date on client requirements, and oversees quality assurance. He understands the assistive technologies available to people with disabilities and products end users can employ to access content. He trains production staff on Section 508 standards and helps project directors and managers understand the budgeting and scheduling requirements for making deliverables 508-compliant.

Garrett is also an expert in document production. He holds a B.A. in mathematics from Susquehanna University.
