Bess Fleischman specializes in delivering technical assistance to health care organizations that are implementing innovative payment and delivery models. Fleischman also has extensive project management experience supporting large and complex projects for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center.
For the CMS Innovation Center, Fleischman manages learning systems designed to help health care organizations improve care and reduce costs. Currently, Fleischman supports a learning system for dialysis organizations participating in the Kidney Care Choices (KCC) Model, and they previously supported a learning system for participants in the Comprehensive End-Stage Renal Disease Care Model. In these roles, Fleischman produces virtual learning events to foster peer-to-peer learning, develops written products to disseminate information on innovative initiatives by model participants, and conducts needs assessment surveys to evaluate the emerging learning needs of participants in the KCC Model.
Fleischman also serves as a project manager, supporting the operations of several learning systems for value-based care and working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality virtual learning events, in-person meetings, and dashboards. As a project manager, Fleischman leverages best practices in the industry to drive continual quality improvement.
Before joining Mathematica in 2018, Fleischman served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in Service to America at the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. They hold a B.A. in public health from Muhlenberg College.
