Mathematica is proud to announce it earned a score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index®, recognizing it among the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” by Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities. This is the third year Mathematica has participated in this assessment and received a top score.

“Mathematica is building on its deep commitment to becoming a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace,” said Dawnavan Davis, chief equity and inclusion officer. “We value the insights and talents of our staff living with disabilities and know that creating an environment that is accessible and welcoming is an important reflection of our dedication to fulfilling Mathematica’s mission to improve public well-being.”

The Disability Equity Index is a valuable tool that shows where companies are advancing inclusion and reveals potential areas of improvement and growth. Mathematica’s recent progress includes expanding flexible work environments and schedules, more user-friendly internal communications, enhanced mental health benefits, consulting with an expert on accommodations, and improving the accessibility of meetings.

The company also tracks and reports hiring data for people with disabilities, which helps spur its commitment to improving recruitment and retention practices that support the growth of our staff community that identifies as living with a disability. Mathematica is intentional about engaging in robust discourse about mental health, emotional well-being, and the core values and cultural fundamentals that ensure that it lives up to its ideals as an organization dedicated to collaboration and inclusivity.

Mathematica’s dedication to disability inclusion also extends to community engagement. This includes enhancing the accessibility of the company website, social media, events, and products, as well as work to advance disability inclusion and equality through research, thought leadership, and its Center for Studying Disability Policy.
